I am building a home. What are the best quality faucets to use in the kitchen and baths?

here you go! and these are the best prices!I am building a home. What are the best quality faucets to use in the kitchen and baths?
I would go with Kohler. They look great and last a long time. You really get your moneys worth out of them.

www.us.kohler.comI am building a home. What are the best quality faucets to use in the kitchen and baths?
I'm taking a home improvement course and the teacher , who was a union carpenter for 38 yrs says the best quality is Moen - but NOT the stuff you see at Lowes or Home Depot - You need to go to a plumbing supply house to get the really good quality stuff - it will cost more too.

Which way should Hot & Cold Water Faucets Turn in a Bath Tub?

We had a scalding incident in our Apartment with a Hot Water Faucet in the tub with our 20 month infant. He usually likes to play with the water while its flowing into a small mug. Luckily we acted immediately and contained the effects. Background, The Hot water faucet was leaking, so we complained to the apartment mgmt and the maintenance guy replaced the valve/stem. Thats when the problem started.

The Hot Water Faucet now has to turn CLOCKWISE to OPEN and ANTICLOCKWISE to Close.

All these years the Hot water Faucet worked the other way until this maintenance guy touched it. Now on complaining to the Apt management, and their senior staff, the story they give is that the Hot Water Faucet is supposed to turn Clockwise to Open as designed by the manufacturer.

The cold water faucet works the opposite way or correct way as one would expect. ANTICLOCKWISE to Open and CLOCKWISE to Close.

Could somebody let us know which way is correct. The irritating this is the maintenance guy opened the whole stem and took it to the management to tell them that stem was ';new'; and working (sic because he had fixed 2 weeks back the leak) and management agreed to his observations and this guy comes and fixes it the same way it was and does not even turn on the Hot water to the apartment he had shut off. had to make another phone call to have him come and fix after some time.

Which way should Hot %26amp; Cold Water Faucets Turn in a Bath Tub?
Actually, my sink and bath faucets both work like that. The cold turns clockwise to open and the hot is counterclockwise to open. So, if you are turning them on together, you turn both hands inward, and outward to turn them both off. Most two-faucet taps(as opposed to a mixer tap), work that way (in the US, at least) so bath faucets are usually designed the same way. I think the repair guy had it right, and your original faucet was actually installed wrong.

It will feel strange at first, but you will get used to it.Which way should Hot %26amp; Cold Water Faucets Turn in a Bath Tub?
Counter-clockwise is on, clockwise is off. It would be very simple to fix the one that is opposite. When the stem was replaced, it was turned 180 degrees the wrong way. It needs to be removed, turned either direction 180 degrees and put back. Anyone who was able to put in the new stem is capable of taking it out and putting it back correctly. The mistake was easy to make, but he should have tested it before he left.
I have in my home two bathrooms and both tub and shower faucets, HOT and COLD turn ';on'; counterclockwise and turn ';off'; clockwise.
On and Off.lol.
You don't mention how old this fixture is, but it must be comparatively new if it's possible to install a stem incorrectly. I've been plumbing for 35 years and have never seen a double handled tub/shower fixture that had the hot and cold side both turn on/off the same way. The HOT side should turn on in a clockwise manner and OFF in a counter-clockwise direction. The cold works opposite. As Ro-Bot said, turning both together, hands twist toward the center on top for on, towards the outside for off. If yours was different originally then it was repaired incorrectly at some point in the past.
I'm sorry about your baby.

The maintenance guy didn't do anything wrong.

If you go to Home Depot, you will find that many shower valves have hot and cold stems. They turn opposite of each other. The reason for this is if you were to try to adjust the water temp and had soap in your eyes, turning either valve would give the same result, either making the water hotter or colder. You couldn't go wrong even if you couldn't see which valve you turned. The stem that was in there before was the wrong one, and he put in the right one.

Anywhere in my house, where water comes in,faucets, bath, washer, smells horrible! ?

I just moved into a 6-7 year old house a month ago. I noticed whenever I flush the master bath commode, at first it stunk, but also had little black particles in the water. Then I noticed at every faucet, including washing machine, that same nasty odor comes out whenever water in coming out. It's not a rotten egg smell, but squirrely or gamey-smelling. It almost makes me feel nauseous--it's so strong. What can I do? Help!Anywhere in my house, where water comes in,faucets, bath, washer, smells horrible! ?
There is a list of things that could be causing your problems. Minerals or bacteria are probably the most common.

It would be really helpful if we knew if you had city water, a well, or a community well.

If you have a type of well, check for filtration after the holding tank. City water, check for it just past the point of entrance to the home (basement, crawlspace, etc.) If there is a cartridge, it may need replacing. If there is a spin-down filter, it may need to be drained. And an unused water softener may need to be cleared and regenerated.

Also, if it is a well, if the water hasn't been used for a while it may need to be flushed or chlorinated. Flushing would just involve running a lot of water while chlorination should probably be handled by a well professional.

And for the record, a water softener is only for removing a small amount of iron and hardness. A smell that strong, if caused by sulpher, should be removed using a different type of filtration and typically is more like a rotten egg smell. If you have any questions please shoot me an e-mail via my profile.Anywhere in my house, where water comes in,faucets, bath, washer, smells horrible! ?
If you are on city water supply, I would check to see if there is an in-line filtration system that needs maintenance. Most likely this filter would be in the basement or crawspace, right where the main water line enters the house. Water would go through this filter first before going anywhere in the house, thus the bad smell is everywhere.

Shut the water off at the water meter, remove the filter. Run lots of water to help flush it out.
It is sulfur. It is in the water or in your pipes. Either way, the only thing you can do is get a water softener. It will filter you water and take out the sulfur which makes your water smell like rotten eggs in the sun. Usually this is a problem in rural areas. My friend had the same issue. The softener did the trick. I had mine installed for $300. The salt I buy for $2.95 a bag. Well worth the money. (My clothes look better as well.)
You should get a water test kit, preferred through your local health department, and have it tested for bacteria.

Are you on a well? That can be the source of the problem. I hate to say this, but rodents can find their way into a well casing. Options are to pour a half gallon of bleach into the well and let it set for as long as possible.

Bath doesn't have shower. Where can I buy the shower hose that you put right on the faucet?

The house that I am renting doesn't have have shower with it, it is just a regular bath. Where can I find the little shower thing that has the hose that you can just put right on the faucet and take it off and on when needed. I'm not working with alot of money right now and I need to go with the cheapest thing right now. I have looked at many places but can't find it. I did find one but it was like $200.00. I can't afford that right now. Where can I find a cheaper one?Bath doesn't have shower. Where can I buy the shower hose that you put right on the faucet?
Try B%26amp;Q or homebase.Bath doesn't have shower. Where can I buy the shower hose that you put right on the faucet?
You should be able to find a spray hose at almost any place that sells hardware, for $25 at the most. If you have one of the really old fashioned taps that doesn't have a place to screw the hose onto, get the plainest plastic hose you can find, cut the screw-on end off, slip the hose over the faucet nozzle, and hold it in place with a hose clamp. Before you go to buy, take note(or a picture if your camera will get the detail) of what kind of place there is to screw a hose onto. You may need an adapter.
A decent DIY retailer should have them. I live in the uk and you can pick them up at Homebase and B%26amp;Q. From your question I guess you are in America but even there I would be amazed if it cost you more than about $30.00 to pick up a half decent one!!
I know what you have and it's an old one. Here's a link to a newer, better version. good luck!
You Can get them at home depot for around $20.00
Argos in the UK

But not sure where you will get one for a mixer tap! anyone knows e mail me..lol
try walmart.or home depot.

Replacing bath faucets........pl advice?

We moved into out new house and I realized that the water flow in all the faucets that the builder has installed in the bath tubs and showers cannot be controlled .

I could adjust the flow of water in the sinks as it has the connections under the vanity.

But the other faucets unlike the sinks do not have the controls exposed .

Can I replace them without a plumber so that I could avoid water wastage .Replacing bath faucets........pl advice?
Believe it or not, the least expensive solution is also the best and easiest for anyone to do. Every Sink, Faucet or Shower head all share one common item. All of them have an aerator screwed to the head. These aerators are inexpensive to purchase. They can be adjusted, or purchased, for their water saving ability.

Simply purchase a few water restricting aerators for your home and you have solved your issue. Anyone can screw an old one off, and a new one on, in pursuit of your goal. I congratulate you for doing so. Far too many people place little, if any, concern over this issue.Replacing bath faucets........pl advice?
The shower valves that most builders install do not have any volume control. To get volume control and temp control you will have to install new valves.

Flow restrictors for shower heads can be a help. Also look into a shower arm shut off valve. Get wet push the button to stop water flow while lathering up, push button back and rinse off. No water wasted while soaping up.
The quickest, easiest answer that I have is to buy a flow controlling valve installed on your shower-heads. I don't know of any for tub spouts, though. The shower valve can be replaced but it is a lot more complicated, involving drywall and / or tile repair. Not to mention finding a different type of valve that will match the plumbing to the replacement. It also could involve cutting and soldering plumbing pipes.

Hope this helps.
What do you mean the flow cannot be controlled? Are the faucets simple on off switches? I don't understand what the problem is.

You don't control the flow of water from your shutoff valves. You just turn them on or off.

I have an older home with a bath tub. I want to install a hand held shower. There are two separate faucets one?

for hot water and one for cold. Is this possible and where would I find the supplies to do it? This is a rented house, so there is no option to tear down walls etc. Thanks.I have an older home with a bath tub. I want to install a hand held shower. There are two separate faucets one?
look in the hardware stores and ask about a water mixer that is adaptable to what you want --- if you cannot find that ... try talking to the landlord and see if he will get the job done right ... and maybe you can get an extra year added to your lease to help him decide to help you.. Take a photo to the store and that will help the clerk understand what you need for showering..that is a photo of the tub and faucets...I have an older home with a bath tub. Is there a shower head in the tub? If not just get one of these:

We will be flying in to mexico with a carry on containg these items. What import taxs are charged to bring in faucets for kitchen %26amp; bath into cabo san lucas mx?
Hola! How many are you bringing??? More than 1 or 2?

And of course, you may run into trouble with the airline bringing it in your carry on. I would just put it in my checked luggage and you don't need to pay import taxes. I bring everything from satellite receivers to turkeys and never pay any import tax. What import taxs are charged to bring in faucets for kitchen %26amp; bath into cabo san lucas mx?
Admin is right...if they don;t look ';new'; you my not have to pay anything. do have your receipt with you for just in case. If you are taxed, I believe it will be 15% of the purchase value, but is is unlikely.
Remove it from the original packaging, and maybe you won't have to worry about it.

I need something to put on my faucet on the tub that is a hose to bath my toddler. anyone know of anything?

Do you have a shower/tub combo or just a stand alone tub? If it's a shower you can get a shower head with a hose to rinse off your wee babe. If it's a tub I don't know, but would suggested getting a sand bucket or 32 oz cup to pour water over your babe.I need something to put on my faucet on the tub that is a hose to bath my toddler. anyone know of anything?
You can get a sprayer to add to the faucet but first you have to have the right type of faucet for that. The faucet spout should have a threaded connector coming up from it on the top side. That is where you would attach the sprayer hose.

Or if you have a shower head you can unscrew it and replace it with a sprayer hose with head.

Talk to your local hardware store or home center store and they can show you what you need.I need something to put on my faucet on the tub that is a hose to bath my toddler. anyone know of anything?
Check with your hardware store. They used to have a hose with a sprayer on the end and a large rubber thing on the other end that you pushed over the end of the tap. This is going back a few years but maybe they are still available.
You can buy sprayers to put on your faucet in places like Lowes or Wal Mart.

I can take a bath but not a shower the pen in the faucet will not stay up?

It depends upon how much work you want to put into this fix. Most showers rely on pressure on a valve to keep the valve closed. If your valve, pin, won't stay up, then it is because of a lack of pressure. Next you need to figure out if you have a leak on the valve or someplace before the valve. It could be as simple as a little dirt around the seal. You'll have to take the fixture off the pipe and see if you can clean it or find some defect. If there is no problem, the consider a leaky pipe. There could also be a hole in the valve. You might have to get a new faucet. Either way, it's not something that can be figured out over the Internet.

Good luck!I can take a bath but not a shower the pen in the faucet will not stay up?
Keasha, it's a very good possibility that the little pin that you're pulling up in the spigot to transfer the water up to the shower is broken off the small paddle shaped end that is supposed to block the flow of water out of the spigot. So when you pull it up, it just falls back down. Most likely what you need is a new spigot, which is readily available at most any decent hardware or home improvement store, Home Depot, Lowe's, Menard's, etc. If I were you I'd take the old one off, (it just unscrews off a pipe), take it with you to the store and get another one just like it. Bring it home and put it back on the threaded pipe and you should be able to take your shower.

We attempted to replace the faucets in our bath tub and how the hot water valve wont close? What do we do?

retrace your movements, start over from scratch. We attempted to replace the faucets in our bath tub and how the hot water valve wont close? What do we do?
If you're talking about the new fixture, try turning it all the way on and let it run for a sec to flush out and debris that may be lodged in it. if you mean the shut off supplying the fixture, try turning it off tighter with a pair of pliers, but be careful.

Replacement of a bathtub faucet is a big job. It usually takes a pro 2-4 hours to complete that task. If you have the pipe apart and are playing bucket brigade, take a garden hose, cut the end off and slip it over the end of the pipe to divert the water to a drain. A size 16 hose clamp will keep it from slipping off.

    Good luck
well im not sure that i know what faucets, are,i am in australia and i can only assume that you mean the washers in your tap that screw down into the hole to stop the water.are you sure your eplaced that one,or did you drop it accidentaly before you put the tap back together? I would be undoing it again and checking it.It could have lodged itself sideways in their preventing it to plug properly.
you can try washers, behind the hot water valve, did you get the right faucets, they come in different sizes. maybe your copper pipe is to short, you might have to change them. I did this kind of work before, and changed everything. copper piping, the walls, and put new tile, came out great. suzuki99@sbcglobal.net

Problem with faucet in my bath tub?

I have problem with the faucet in my bath tub. It has a standard knob where you just pull it out for water to come out and push it in to shut it off. So the problem I have is that whenever I try to push it it, it gets stuck. I have to put quite a lot of weight into it to push it in.

Does anyone know what's wrong with it and how I can fix it?

I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.Problem with faucet in my bath tub?
The orings in the valve are not good and need to be replaced. turn the water main off in your home and remove the valve assembly and dart off to the nearest plumbing supply house and try to get just the orings but worst cause scenario buy the complete replacement valve insert and be done with it.

your very welcome and I am glad I was able to help somehow. :-)

Sounds like a Moen fixture. You'll need to take the handle off by unscrewing the philips screw located under the little plastic plate in the middle of the handle. Then remove the chrome sleeve and the small ';U'; shaped clip that holds the cartridge into the valve body. Sometimes it takes a lot of strength and pulling to remove a stuck cartridge, but once the little clip is out, it will come. Once you have it out take it to your nearest plumbing parts store and get a new one. Slather some vaseline on the new unit and install it in the reverse manner. Should work like new.
there are a set of 2 orings inside, 1 is damaged, probably cut or folded over. repair kits are available at home depot just have to know the make of tap

First you need to turn the water off. Then you can get a new faucet that won't leak and install it. That will save a lot of water each year.

  • Can there be sperm found in bath water, straight from the faucet?

My name is mercy.... Ivy is my older sister. She let me use her account. I'm 7 :). She's typing this for me. My older brother said that there was sperm in the water that came out of our shower... He said if I kept taking showers, i would get pregnant... Is this true? My mom says its not but she lies to me just to get things done sometimes. Is it even possible?

    what is sperm anyways?

((this is from ivy.... Please be nice... I don't want to answer this question for..... ceartain reasons.... so um yeah.. she really is 7))Can there be sperm found in bath water, straight from the faucet?
Mercy or who ever I am talking to. Your brother is just pulling your chain. Sperm does not come out of the shower and you will not get pregnant. Listen to your mom, she is right this time. So go on and take as many showers as you want to. Also, have a talk with your mother about the birds and the bees. She can explain to you how a woman becomes pregnant, and it does not involve taking a shower. Can there be sperm found in bath water, straight from the faucet?
You're brother is only teasing you. You never get pregnant by taking showers. Sperm cannot live in an environment just like that of water from the faucet. If you are really interested about what sperm is? Go and ask your parents about it. Personally speaking, you're too young to learn about this stuff but if you really want to be educated, then your parents should be the one to explain to what it is all about. You're parents are the best source of information you need to know in life.
sweetie pie there aint5 nothing to wrry about. You WONT get pregnant from taking a shower. sperm DOES NOT! come out of the shower!!! your brother is MEAn to say something like that !! you can NOT get pregnant from taking showers! take 10000 a day and you wont get pregnant!

(to the older sister this is for you......kids say the cutest thing dont they!)
No..that is not possible. YOu are too young to be thinking about sperm...tell everyone to let you be a child and tell your mother about this. You need to enjoy your childhood ! Go to your mom....and talk to her. That is what she is there for!
dont worry=] i am 13 and your brother is probably a teen to. it sounds like he was just trying to scare you and i am not going to tell you what a sperm is=] sorry because i think you will find out when you grow up a little=]
your moms telling the truth. tell your older brother the only sperm washing down the drain shoulda been the load that made him, that'll shut him up. (you don't need to know what that means)
Your older brother lies - because he thinks it's funny and he gets a ';rise'; out of you.
Your brother is silly. May be he's gone mad.
your mom is telling you the truth
dont listen to your brother . he's lying .

I give my cat a bath often. he loves it. he drinks water from the faucet. jumps in the shower with me. WHY?

I love that he is so different. He is constantly playing with water.I give my cat a bath often. he loves it. he drinks water from the faucet. jumps in the shower with me. WHY?
My cat is the same way, he loves to swim in the bath tub, when I'm trying to take a bath , then I have to dry him up, and put him in my room, and he also drinks from the faucet. But it's rare that some cats like water, I think it deals with the breed.I give my cat a bath often. he loves it. he drinks water from the faucet. jumps in the shower with me. WHY?
Some cats had good expireneces with water as kittens, that's probably why.
I don't know why, but you are so lucky! My mom had a Siamese cat that used to get into the bath tub with her and play with the bubbles. Maybe it's a trust thing and your cat really trusts you alot!
    Some cats simply like water.
Some cats like water, just like some dogs like water, or some humans like water. Some cats hate water, like some dogs hate water, and some humans hate water. Just be happy about it, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Unless you don't want to share the shower, in that case, shut the door.
There are a few breeds of cat that do that. Some are fascinated with water, most are not. I love cats like that.
Some cats like water. Tigers like the water, and they're cats. You shouldn't bath your cat, though. And if you feel you have to, it should only be when he gets really dirty or maybe once every couple of months. It isn't good for their skin.
    that good.

i dont know one cat that likes water

    thatz good that urs does
Maine Coone cats LOVE water, its also what they are attracted to as toys.

My cats drink excessively, jump in the shower, and flush the toilet.

They also fall in, a LOT, so i said uncle and keep it closed
Some cats love water. Most cats are intrigued by moving water (which might explain the faucet and the shower). For example my cat hates water with a passion, but when I'm running a bath she'll jump up on the side of the bath and stare at it and sometimes dip her paw into the water. After we've had a shower, my cat will run into the shower and walk around in the little bit of water that's left and try to drink it.

You should feel thankful - your cat won't scratch you to death when it comes flea bath time! *hehe*

The faucets in my bath tubs are temp controlled. It is controlled to the point of taking cold showers. Can I adj

I bought this house new recently. I am told that it is code for the builder to put these in. Has anyone else experienced this? If so is there a way to adjust this or should I just put in new faucets? My sink faucets will put out really hot water according to what the hot water heater is set at. The faucets in the bath tubs will not get hot no matter what the hot water heater is set on. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks! The faucets in my bath tubs are temp controlled. It is controlled to the point of taking cold showers. Can I adj
Yes, you can adjust these. The water temperature (full hot) should NEVER be set above 120掳 F.

There are MANY types of adjustments. Some are simple screwdriver adjustments, some are stops so the valve can't turn all the way hot.

I will assume you have the stop type of adjustment. Look at page 6 of http://www.us.kohler.com/onlinecatalog/p鈥?/a>The faucets in my bath tubs are temp controlled. It is controlled to the point of taking cold showers. Can I adj
i installed one of these in my parents bathroom when i remodeled it for them. you have to take the lever off and adjust it behind the shower wall. it can be confusing and may be best left to a plumber.

Hall bath has brass tub/shower stall. DN like but no plan to change. Bronze sink faucet & towel ring OK?

I am considering oil bronze fixtures (towel ring, sink faucet and light fixture over sink). I would not have chosen brass for the shower/tub stall, but it came with the house and it is done well and actually looks nice. So, it's not worth re-doing it. However, I don't want to add more brass in the room with brass fixtures. I know there are brass/chrome combo fixtures, but they're not my first choice. Walls are painted red, but I'm considering a neutral Venetian plaster. Floor is a light travertine. There is also white bead board around the small room (I'm not sure how to figure out what is underneath, but would consider removing). Inside the standard sized tub/shower is white tile. There is also one window I need a shade/blinds for.Hall bath has brass tub/shower stall. DN like but no plan to change. Bronze sink faucet %26amp; towel ring OK?
I'm a big brass fan, so my advice would be to go with more of it:) But, with the fixtures being in the shower, probably not many people see them anyway, and if you have a door or curtain, you're basically free to go with whatever you want to:) I just think that brass gives things a nice ';rich'; look, and if you keep the red, it would look great with it. On the beadboard~having it up the wall 1/2 way, will make your room look larger, so instead of removing it, try painting it (IF you don't want to keep the white) and putting wallpaper on the top 1/2 of the walls. It kinda' sounds like you are going to have too much going on, with the tile floor, different tile shower, beadboard and then adding plaster to all of that, so leaving the beadboard white, so that it still matches the tile in the shower, might be the better idea:) Or chance it, and take it off and ';plaster'; the whole wall. There is most likely just dry-wall under it. Pull off one strip and peek;)

Good Luck!!Hall bath has brass tub/shower stall. DN like but no plan to change. Bronze sink faucet %26amp; towel ring OK?
Go with the oil rubbed bronze fixtures that you are considering. They almost serve as a ';neutral'; in the room, since they are chocolat-y brown and not shiney metallic like the bright, polished brass. The oil rubbed bronze are also more modern.

If you can get in touch with your doctor or a physician of some kind, do so. Signs to watch for are confusion, dizziness, lack of appetite (which can be due to nausea), dilated/unequal pupils, excessive lethargy, and unable to wake him.

That being said, since the swelling is going outward, that means that he will most likely be fine. Keep an eye on him, ice the bump when you can ( I know babies can be wiggly!) and check on him during the night. He should be fine.

Last year my then 22 month old son face planted into the fire place. He got a large gash and goose egg on his head and I was also freaked out. I was told to keep a close eye on him for sudden changes in personality and the symptoms I described above. He turned out to be fine.My son hit his head on the bath tub faucet!?
I just went through this with my 3 year old about 4 days ago.

When he hit his head, it immediatly started to swell into a blue goose egg.

I called the pediatrician and this is exactly what they told me.

*When he hit his head, did he pass out or get knocked out? If not, then he should be okay.

*The key signs to look for is:

If he gets unusually sleepy for irritable afterwards, If he starts to stumble alot, Talking funny or slurred words, If one pupil is bigger than the other then take him to the ER. Or if theres anything that hes doing that just seems ';off';.

Id keep a good eye on him tonight once hes sleeping, make sure hes breathing okay. And they also told me to wake him, if hes really hard to wake up or not responding to waking up then seek medical attention. Good luck, I know I was a nervous wreck that night!
If you don't you need to watch him to make sure he's not acting funny, and wake him up frequently through out the night. Bath tub faucets are hard, chances are he's fine but there is a chance of internal bleeding. I asked my mom, who is an E.R. nurse, in a trauma 1 hospital, she says you might want to go, only because of the one in a million chance he has a small bleed, no doctor would be upset, and it's better safe than sorry. She says he's probubly fine, but wouldn't say not to go, she would never want some thing to happen to your baby!
Ohh poor little guy :*( He'll be fine though, as long as he's acting fine and your already putting ice on it so that's good. The main thing is to check his pupils and make sure they are not funky (one bigger than the other) but honestly he's fine, kids always bump their heads, i swear their heads are made for this, lol. Just check up on him in the middle of the night and everything will be all good. Have a good night and rest of the weekend. :)
My son fell of the futon about 2 weeks ago. At the time he was 8 weeks old. I called my husband crying like a nut. He left work early and on the way home called the doctor. He gave us the warning signs as to watch out for. If he throws up or anything more then normal, just doesn't seem himself these two signs and the baby needs to go to the hospital. He seems fine. If he is alert and such though it doesn't hurt to call the doctor. I know how scary it can be.
My son isn't a big crier but when he does get hurt badly he keeps crying. I think he will be fine if it is going down and didn't bleed. I would give him some tylenol before bed. Also buy one of the tub faucet covers, we have a duck one and my mother-in-law has an elmo one.
i would certainly call your doctor to give him a heads up - but i dont think you need to go, although dont be surprised if your doc wants to check him over.

I would look online for signs of concussion in infants, so you know what to watch out for!!

Im sure that he will forget about it long before you will!!!

However on a side note be careful with baths - they are so slippery!!
if he seems to be fine and the bump is already looking better i wouldn't take him to the doctor. my little girl is crawling now and she bumps her head all the time. i keep telling my husband that we are going to have to buy her a helmet lol.
I'd call you doc just to let him know. Someone once told me good advice for bumps to the head... if the baby is crying that's a GOOD sign..it's when he's NOT crying is when you have to worry.
skip the ER -treat the bruising with ice, if tolerated. give pain meds as needed and follow up with the pediatrician.
Since there was a bump immediatley that is a good thing. I would call the on call doc just to make sure.
I would still have him checked out just to be safe.
depends on how hard he hit it....i would buy a faucet cover to prevent any repeats.
I know it is scary! My son is around the same age, and on christmas eve, with all of the hub bub, the cellar stairway door was somehow not locked and BOOM, down went my 9 month old! We rushed him to the ER, and all he got out of it was scraped nose. poor little guy had a scraped nose for his first x-mas. All kids are bound to bump their heads and most of the time it is nothing. but if you feel uneasy by all means take him in. I am a first time mom, so i freak out easy, n some may say too protective but I just tell myself that i am not going to apologize for trying to make sure my child is in the healthiest shape he can be. Call your pediatrics office and let them know and if they think he should be brought in, they will tell you and just have you bring him in after a while to check it out.

  • How can I make my shower/bath tub faucet stop dripping?

The noise is driving me insane, not to mention how high my water bill will-

I mean, I'm concerned about my wasting water and want to save the world from the evil Global Warming and leave water for the fishes.

Basicly what happens is I turn off my faucet, as far as I can twist the knobs, and it still drips. And drips. And drips. I turn the little lever back and forth from the bath faucet to the shower head, but this only helps a little. What should I do?How can I make my shower/bath tub faucet stop dripping?
Take the knobs off - pull out the cartridge(s) - replace the o-rings - replace the knobs and viola! Go to Lowes or Home Depot - they will walk you through it step by step! Good Luck! How can I make my shower/bath tub faucet stop dripping?
You can repair the faucet. It probably needs a washer, very simple to install. Just go to Lowes or Home Depot and tell them you have a leaky faucet. Go to the plumbing department. They will give you a repair kit. If you need tools, you can get them there also. Go home, install the washer and the leak will stop.
Depending on the age and model of faucet, you might have to replace 1 or 2 O-rings, or there may be a ';cartridge'; that needs replaced. It really depends on the model and age of the fixtures.
call a plumber ,way too many faucets to tell you how to repair.
A new faucet washer would probably amaze you. Give it a try.

On edit, some use O rings.
.25 washer or 2.00 set oring home depot
    Put some putty on it.
Go to the room on the other side of the wall where your shower faucet is (probably the kitchen?) and look (often at the back of a lower cupboard) for a panel that can be removed -- often screwed on with a few screws. Remove the panel and surprise! a shut off valve, or likely two. Shut off the valves.

Examine the shower faucet carefully to figure out how to remove the handles. (Since you said you twist the knobS, I assume there are two) There may be a little plastic cap you can pry off to reveal a screw. Remove the screw. Now the hard part. Using two large screwdrivers or another pair of similar tools, gently pry the faucet handle off by prying on two sides of the handle at a time -- first at top and bottom, then at both sides - and by wiggling it. When you get them off, there will be a nut that you can get at with a wrench. DO NOT use pliers because the nuts are made of brass which is softer than steel pliers and will get wrecked.

Remove the nut. Then put the handle back on complete with screw and use the handle to pull the whole guts of the faucet out. Take both sets of ';guts'; down to your local Ace Hardware or Lowes and they will sell you the appropriate washer, o-ring or whatever is needed to stop your drips. (Also before you go to the store, make a note of the brand of the faucet; it will help the hardware person find the parts you need more quickly)

Bring your parts home, put a little Vasaline on any bits that look like rubber, stick them back together and replace those nuts snugly but not really hard. Turn the shut off valves back on.

Your problems should be over and you can brag that you did it all yourself.

By the way, older shut off valves sometimes leak when they haven't been used for a long time. To stop that, use your wrench to back off the nut under the handle about 1/2 turn, open then close the valve, then snug the nut up again. It usually works.

    Good luck

Question about Delta T13 series bath tub faucet?

just did a reconstruction in bathroom, use a Delta T13 series bath tub faucet trim. It's like this:

I am new at this, so I want to know that besides turning the handle to change the water temperature, is there any way to change the water pressure also? Now, seems I cannot change the water pressure, so we wasted water, especially hot water. You know, even you just a bit of hot water, the cold water will have to go maximum.Question about Delta T13 series bath tub faucet?
Yes, this uses a mixed water flow. This also has a scold guard, so make sure it isn't set all the way to cold. grrrr this is a little difficult to explain, Does this have a little red square piece with a screw attached to it just on the inside ot the handle? If so if you turn the screw out this will allow the water to get hotter. Also it might be a good idea to take the mixet off and check to see if anything got stuck in the line, like a piece of solder or a small chunk of wood. I have dealt with this issue quite a bit. But try that and let me know if this helps, if not there might be a few more things i could tell you.Question about Delta T13 series bath tub faucet?
Wonder if it could be a faulty faucet? We have a similar type faucet in one of our bathrooms and who ever installed crossed the water lines or something because the hot and cold seem to be reversed, of course this house was built in 78 and has been remodeled before we bought it and we had to reverse the hot and cold on the lavatories and the kitchen sink! Might contact Delta on line and see if you can get a response from them on what the problem might be...good Luck

Would sperm die if it is in water , like faucet or bath water..?

:D idk im curious o-o;Would sperm die if it is in water , like faucet or bath water..?
yes, they will eventually die because it is a hazardous environment for sperm cells. Any environment outside of the body is hazardous to sperm cells. Even the vagina is a potentially hazardous environment for sperm cells because of its acidic content and immune response cells. They are just protected by the seminal fluid.Would sperm die if it is in water , like faucet or bath water..?
It doesn't drown or anything, but when it changes temperature enough, it will die.
    Yes, but not immediately.
they'll eventually would coz the temperature and environment is not ok for them...
sperm can survive anywhere for 48 hours

Can I fix my bath faucets my self or do I need to call a plumber? ?

My bathroom faucets are so hard to use. They turn very loosely and I have to push in and turn in really hard. My husband says ';call a plumber';, but I say go to menards and buy a kit to fix it. Isn't it just as easy as that? Can I fix my bath faucets my self or do I need to call a plumber? ?
It can be a real task, just make sure you get the correct replacement parts. Turn off your water and take one of the faucets apart, take that one with you so you can get the correct one. Instructions on the package should get you through it. Good luck! Can I fix my bath faucets my self or do I need to call a plumber? ?
You can do it yourself, make sure you remember how you took it apart, same way you put it back.

Few picture with your phone will help remembering the position of each part as you remove it

unless you are confident that you can do the job correct %26amp; have the correct info , it may ending up being more costly to have a experienced person do it for you.
Listen to your husband for a change and call a plumber.

Have 3-4 different contractors quote on the complete job.

Moving pipes is nothing, will they have to put extra supports under the tub. will they remove walls, redo panelling, and or tiles. 4-5 hrs? 16 to 20 would be closer.

  • BATH TUB Faucet install?

    Hi every one

I have a bathtub faucet which has two stop cock(one for cold, one for hot).

Just wonder, if I want to change to one stop cock.

Where I can get that kind of faucet.

And is it hard to install (do I need to take the equip in the wall-break the wall)

    to install it?

Any easy one for me to work only by wrench?

    THXBATH TUB Faucet install?
You would have to get into the wall and replace the valve and cap off the hot and cold water supplies for the individual faucets. Better to wait for a complete remodel to do this. You would need a torch, flux, solder and the knowledge to do it.

What do professional cleaning companies (like merry maids) use on your bath faucets to make them sooo shiny?

We had our own cleaning business (doing display homes) and used different products but you always have to dry and buff no matter what you use.. Rubbing alcohol White vinegar; Stainless steel polish (Zep mfg) anything with oil in it. Check out books on plumbing at you local ibrary.
Local hardware stores carry very simplistic and pictured instructions...like at Home Depot.

But I can tell u that replacing them is easy. Simply unscrew the lock screw on the handls and remove new ones go one the same way, they r usually standard. The faucet head usually just unscrews, but u got use something like a peice of wood to put in the mouth of it to begin turning it..then the new one goes on the same, usually all standard to fit.

Problem with my shower and bath faucets?

Water comes out of the bath faucet but not the shower. When I turn the faucet so water will come out of the shower...just a trickle. And I know my shower head is not clogged. Any ideas?Problem with my shower and bath faucets?
If you have low water pressure, the valve that switches the water pressure over to the shower head may not close right and the water will keep going thru the faucet.Problem with my shower and bath faucets?
The seal on the faucet is probably bad, or you need a new setup. You can probably change the seal yourself, but a new unit will take some expertise. If your shower is tiled, you will probably have to re-tile it, or find a tile that closely matches and put a diamond shape, or something of that nature, where the faucet tile gets damaged.
did you put the valve in the wrong way? if so you are like me. i did that. all i got was a trinkel. where you install the pull up valve it can go both ways. try turning it around if that the case.

  • Should cold water comes out before hot water for my bath faucet?

I just have a contractor installed a bathtub %26amp; shower faucet. It is the type with one handle and no volume control. When I turn the handle counterclockwise, hot water comes out. As I turn more, cold water joins in. Is it supposed to be the other way? That is cold water should come first, and hot water joining in as you move the handle further. The instruction of the faucet definitely says that cold water should come first, but I am wondering whether there are other faucets that does it the other way. That is if I keep it the way it is, will visiters be supprised when they get hot water first? Thanks.Should cold water comes out before hot water for my bath faucet?
Easy - he has crossed the supply pipes to the shower. Cold supply is on the right, hot on the left.

This is a common mistake and i have done this in my apprentiship years once before - a good bollocking off the boss made sure i never forget! However some shower instructions arent always the clearest if its one of those built in behind the tiles so dont be too hard on him!

The way these things are sometimes piped, and in your case from your description, the shower is tapped off the supplies for the bath. Sometimes the bath taps are the wrong way round from the very beginning. Should be H%26amp;C not C%26amp;H. Cold is on the right always - the reason being most people are right handed and if you needed cold water quick its instinctive to put out your leading hand!

If the bath has been done a straight swap and the taps have remained the same - its easy just to bring two pipes off the bath supplies straight up the wall to the shower. This is fine, but if the taps are the wrong way around then this is just being lazy and he should have dealt with putting the bath supplies the right way in the first place. You try and cheat a problem it usually comes back to bite you twicefold in plumbing.

You may be able to turn the shower unit body (the internals) around to suit the reversed supplies (some manufacturers allow for reversed suplies and make their showers reversable but not all) without the control handle being upside down.

If not your installer will just have to bite the bullet and switch the supplies. He may be able to do this from underneath the bath if hes lucky and allowed plenty of access space. If you have had your bath tiled in then im afraid its 'Hammer Time'!

If it is supplied from the loft to your shower and the supplies drop down, and the bath supplies come up- then its a piece of cake. Just swap them over in the loft.

Oh and the shower supplies should be balanced. Both hot and cold should be either off the combi, or multipoint water heater, or cold main and unvented cylinder (with the correct flow restrictors fitted and if a balancing shower and not a mixing/thermostatic shower non return valve(s) should be fitted to stop backflow), or cold off the cold header tank and hot off the cylinder preferably on dedicated supplies. If its a cold main for the cold, and a hot off the cylinder then there is a very good chance it wont ever work right, reversed supplies or not.

If its piped up off the bath supplies, and your bath is cylinder hot and cold main it could be dangerous. If you get in the shower and get it balanced just right, and your cylinder has the usual 60degC water going thru it mixed down with the cold, and someone else in the house flushes the loo or runs a cold tap... what will happen? The quantity of cold will lower and you run the very real risk of being scalded.

Make sure your shower is a thermostatic shower. Make sure it has balanced supplies. Make sure the supplies arent crossed. It cant have hot tank and cold main, its a burn risk.

Im sure its a simple mistake and he has just crossed the supples and all will be fine - just seen to many bad instals in my time and too many accidents by unqualified/lazy installers!

Plumbing and Heating engineer for 12 years and makes you a little cynical - there are a lot of rogues out there!

Oh and dont take any crap - it wont be fine as it is, cold first, hot second, thats the rule. Its an illegal install and thats the way a small claims court would see it!

Good luck and ask if you need anything else or just contact.Should cold water comes out before hot water for my bath faucet?
It sounds like something is wrong. Maybe he installed the knob upside down. You should go through the directions and see if you can find the error. There may be an adjustment on the knob to make it turn the opposite way. It seems like the knob should turn clockwise, because the cold water should be on the right. Look through the directions carefully and determine if the knob is somehow installed upside down or tell him it is wrong and to fix it. If your hot and cold water supplies are on the wrong sides, (from construction) then this may also cause it to be wrong. This would not be fixed easily and you may have to live with it. If you gave a model for the faucet it may be easier to help you.
i had a similar problem and the problem was they switched the hot and cold inlet pipes on the handle. i almost got burned from the hot water so be sure and have them check to make sure so guests and also small kids don,t get burned by accident. hope this helps. make sure you find out quickly because that,s wrong. don,t wait for an accident to happen.
Cold water should come first. It sounds like the contractor might of hooked it up wrong. Should be an easy fix.
    Yes

Is it safe to masturbate under running water from a bath faucet?

    OK, I'm being paranoid again.

For years I've been using the bathtub faucet to get me off on these crappy Monday (and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays, Friday, etc) mornings.

It feels good, and it appears to be harmless, but being the worrywart that I am, would masturbating under running water from the bathtub faucet be harmful in any way?

I didn't think so... but it wouldn't hurt to have some peace of mind here....Is it safe to masturbate under running water from a bath faucet?
No, it is not harmful. You take showers and baths right? You have gone swimming right?...its the same thing. No need to worry. Is it safe to masturbate under running water from a bath faucet?
That is really perfectly safe my friends masturbate that way also and they are also worried about the same thing as you(but then again we are in america where the 271 milion pounds of drugs are in the water) they are ok and are actually cleanig out down there.
i dont see any reason why it would be harmful. if anything your cleaning yourself :p. nothing seems to be wrong, but the water temperature may affect. you wouldnt want it to hot, because you might scald your area...

    hope this helped %26lt;3
no, i think thats pretty common, and I've never heard of it hurting someone.. Is the water drinkable? If there are warnings not to drink it then maybe you shouldn't, but otherwise I would think its totally safe.
It's harmless. The only time it might be dangerous would be during pregnancy.

By the way, if you buy one of those shower attachments with the hose it will be easier.
YA IT IS ABSOLUTELY SAFE, only be LITTLE CAREFUL about hygiene.

    -- drs!@in.com
Yes it s fine as long as the water is not too hot.
I don't think it will do anything to you.

How to adjust the scald prevention mechanism of a bath faucet.?

I recently installed a Pegasus 9000 Bath Faucet and the water at best will only get luke warm. Unfortuneately the instructions for the product were missing as well. Water in my bathroom sink is plenty hot and the water out of the old faucet was also very hot. I've narrowed the problem to the scald prevention mechanism but don't know how to adjust it. One post mentioned taking off the handle and adjusting something on the neck, but I wasn't sure what they were talking about. The faucet also has two bolts with screws on the hot and cold side but adjusting them didn't seem to make a difference. Any help would surely be appreciated...How to adjust the scald prevention mechanism of a bath faucet.?
There is a plastic ring under the handle that has pointed teeth on it. This prevents the handle from going too far to the left, and getting too hot. You take it out and reposition it more to the left if you want the water to be hotter.

If all else fails go to Home Depot and get a worker to show you.

Is masturbating with the bath tub faucet dangerous?

Other than using your fingers/hands, this is probably THE most common way for a girl to masturbate. The only cautions are to not let air get trapped inside you as that can cause a problem. Assuming that you are letting the water run on you to cause the reaction you want and not rubbing against the faucet, this is perfectly safe and very sanitary. Have fun!Is masturbating with the bath tub faucet dangerous?
Not unless you get it hung up in the faucet. Is masturbating with the bath tub faucet dangerous?
Nope, it's fine. Better than using some dirty toy which can harbor bacteria. I have been doing it for years, with no problems.
Masturbation with the bath tub faucet is not dangerous at all. I do it everyday and I have never hurt anything. Masturbation can be safe and clean while using the faucet..there is never any clean up afterwards either you can simply put the faucet on you and away goes everything. Good Luck with your masturbation and have fun!
do you really want to take the chance?
No, as long as you do not get water inside of you. Water being forced inside of you can cause damage.
Only if you are directing water into your vagina. If you aren't then, it's probably fine. I wouldn't insert it anywhere though.
Ouch i'm not quit sure how that would work anyway
It is a wonderful place to grow bacteria and fungi, leading to yeast infections as well as urinary tract infections. You might find a vibrator safer.
Depends on how hard you rub on the faucet.
that's kind of bazaar, but whatever floats your boat
    That's sick.

    Seriously.

Pluming question: The bathtub thingy under the faucet that drains out the bath water is locked.......

or stuck. I have tried to force it open; it will jiggle just a little and the water drains out extremely slow. I just had plummers out here 2 or 3 weeks ago, to open up the sewer line outside. (I am not connected to the city utility.) They didn't come inside to check the bath drain. They're gonna charge me for another service call? Any advice??Pluming question: The bathtub thingy under the faucet that drains out the bath water is locked.......
it may just be calcium build up,, try using a CLR cleaner like KABOOM or similar!! if its rust,,, spray on plenty of WD40 and keep jiggling it,,, if this doesn't help you may need a new drain,,, yes they will charge you againg!! they were there for the sewer problem last time!! you should of asked real nice then for them to look at it,,, now ??Pluming question: The bathtub thingy under the faucet that drains out the bath water is locked.......
That happened to me in my apartment once! It was terrible! I had to bucket out the water everytime I showered! Its probably because your drian thing rusted and broke. Good luck.

It will take the meaning out of future sexual activity and lead you to not be as emotionally bonded to your mate as you would have been and weaken your ability to reason through things and to remember and if you seek that good feeling very often it can turn you into an invalid. I know doctors deny these things - but they just do not want to admit or do not know the truth. I write you because God cares for you and you really need to know the truth before you get involved.

Delta bath faucet stuck in shower position?

We have a jacuzzi tub and separate stand up shower. the faucet in the tub has a pull down thing where the water comes out that is supposed to divert the water up to the shower head ( if we had one there). Well somehow it got pulled down and now no water will come out of the tub faucet and i dont know how to get it diverted back down to the tub faucet. Does anyone know what I am supposed to do- and please dont say ';call a plumber'; or ';call delta';. I am asking to see if anyone here knows, if not THEN I'll call a plumber....... only answer if you know how to fix it please!!!! Thanks in advance!!!Delta bath faucet stuck in shower position?
I'm surprised there would be a diverter in there if there's no plumbing to support a shower head. There are two possible reasons this has happened.

When you have a tub/shower combination you divert the water to the shower head. Water pressure holds the diverter in the ';shower'; position until you shut off the water, then the diverter returns to the tub position. Since there's no shower head attached there's pressure on the diverter but no way to release it. I'd try to turn off the water, at the service shutoff if there is one or by temporarily shutting off the water to the entire home. Then ';turn on'; the water in the tub. This should relieve the pressure and allow the diverter to return to the tub position or allow you to turn it back.

Some diverters use a lever to change the diverter from tub to shower. The lever may be attached to a strip of metal that, in turn, regulates where the water goes or it may directly move a simple valve to change the water flow. If the pin connecting the lever to the valve has broken you're going to have to remove the face or escutcheon from the front of the mechanism so you can see what's going on inside the wall, then take appropriate repair action.

Hope this helps you decide what to do.Delta bath faucet stuck in shower position?
    Hi,

I'm assuming your talking about a diverter tub spout. Had ran into the same problem in the past. You could turn the tub spout with a pair of channel locks or a pipe wrench so that were the water comes out faces up, then fill it with WD40, wait 30 mins then push and pull the handle to get it free again.

Or you could buy a new tub spout for about $20., there very easy to install.
push up where water comes out

    Bath faucet boo-boo... please help.?

I was replacing the old faucet handles in my tub to give it an updated feel without all the plumbing work. During installation, one of the screws to hold the handle onto the ?knob? (part that sticks out and turns the water on and off w/out the decoration) broke inside. I tried to remove it with two sets of pliers like I've done before, but it turned the cheap screw into a metal mess.

Help?! I don't have the knowledge to replace the whole rough in. But I did find something from home depot that may help, could someone let me know if it would work?

    www.homedepot.com enter sku # 39695

Any other advice high appreciated too. And don't call me any names or things, I'll just give you bad ratings.Bath faucet boo-boo... please help.?
First, turn your water off, either the shut-off on the water lines to the tub, or the main line to the bathroom. Then use the tool that you bought, from home depot. If you don't turn off the water, when you get the screw loose, the water will go everywhere! What you bought might work, but if it don't, try the pliers again, with the water off. I think it will be easier, with the water off. If that don't call the man, (Plumber). good luck...Bath faucet boo-boo... please help.?
homedepot reports that the sku you give does not match anything.
I did a search on google for Danco Lever Handle Bathtub and Shower Faucet Rebuild Kit, Porcelain Handle, and the number one result was this post, so I am sorry I dont know what tool kit this is. Could you post a pic of the Rebuild Kit?

You can try spraying a lubricant like Hilco Lube (works better then wd40) onto the broken screw then trying to twist it out with some needle nose pliers. If that doesn't work you will have to change out the tub stem (the part that the broke screw is stuck in) ...which is really easy to do if you have the appropriate tools and can shut the water supply to the bath tub off.

    Hope this helped.

    Bath faucet problem??????

when i turn my bath faucet to the regular 'on' position it turns off. when i turn it to the 'off' position, the water runs. HelpBath faucet problem??????
sometimes you can remove the stem on the faucet and turn it 180 degrees to remedy this.Bath faucet problem??????
Is this on something recently installed or has it been a 5 year old problem? If it is new, you or your plumber installed it backwards. Call him to come make it right.

As long as hot is hot and cold is cold, this is not an emergency.
the problem is somebody put the wrong stem in there are hot water stems and cold water stems and if you put the hot on the cold or visa, versa they work backwards .
It seems your water valve was installed backwards don't worry as long as you still git water when you need it.
The whole thing was installed backward. I agree with the above mentioned answer

I have been getting orgasms from the bath faucet for about 2-3 years now and i wanna know ......?

if theres any product that my parents wont find out and i can buy for cheap that will make me look younger on my vagina again.I have been getting orgasms from the bath faucet for about 2-3 years now and i wanna know ......?
Honey, sorry to tell ya, but getting off on a bath faucet is not going to make your vagina look old or age any faster. You have to much time on your hands, or your just to vain if you are worried about how old your vagina looks. And no there is not a product to make it look any younger.I have been getting orgasms from the bath faucet for about 2-3 years now and i wanna know ......?
Well, if your vagina is getting old then you must be hitting 50 +. Why are you still worried about your parents finding out. That's kind of strange. At that age I would be worried about cancer, cholesterol, heart disease.
No,sorry, no such thing. Once it has been stretched to a certain point, especially, for an extended period of time, it loses elasticity.
This is perhaps the weirdest question I have ever read on this site.

Yes......you can buy a product called Vag-Renew, BUT you have to tell your Dad to sign the paperwork to buy it.
well, preparation-h makes all swelling and puffiness go down, if thats what you are talking about. i'm not quite sure of what you mean by look younger. good luck.
great question. the best place to get an answer for this question is from your friends who, like you, are probably middle school aged and might actually take this serious.

    Masterbating..girls..bath faucet shower head???

on Yahoo answers i see ways to masterbate like A bath faucet %26amp; a shower head But how do you do that, how does it feel good

Do you turn the water on..i tried the bath faucet but it didnt feel good.

Maybe i was doing it wrong?Masterbating..girls..bath faucet shower head???
Turn the water on warm, scoot your butt down in the tub so the water falls on your clit (you might want to adjust the flow to just a little bit at first and see how that goes)... and just lie there letting the water run there for a few minutes (might be a lot less than that) - adjusting your position or the water flow to whatever feels best. Almost for sure, you'll have an orgasm if you do it long enough... but depending on your body's preferences (girls/women are all different), it might or might not be a ';really good'; one.

Same thing with the shower nozzle if you have one you can hold in your hand.Masterbating..girls..bath faucet shower head???
It worked for me. though i thought i was going to get cancer or something from it...didn't know it was an orgasm that was happening. it's better to know now and i won't feel so gulity because other people do it too.though i was addicted to it when i first discovered it on my own about 4 or 5yrs ago

    It should feel pretty good.

You might wanna do this in the shower unless you want water all over the bathroom!

Hold the shower head beneath your vagina and turn the water on.

DON'T have the water on too hot or it won't be very comfortable, but have it on warm.

Aim the water flow at your clitorus and feel the pleasure...

    Hope I helped.
ok its not dangerous at all. if you have a massage shower head it works best. you just lay under it and sppread your legs. let the water hit your clit and you can always adjust yourself if it gets to be uncomfortable. it feels really good and i orgasm everytime. no one can hear me though cause the shower is pretty loud.

try again, but it takes some time for it to start to feel good.

    ---have fun ; )
    you turn the shower on,

    layon your back,

    spread you legs,

    use your fingers and spread your';lips';

    +%26amp; find the right spot.

    it feels amazing,

    but gets very intense.
this may be weird but i usally get on my bed, lay on my stomach, get on a cornor, and start humping it. i don't know if this is masturbating but it feels really good.
Hi there, I use my shower head and hold it against my clitoris, Your shower head should have different water settings, pick your favorite and let the water spurt right on your clit.
Don't listen to Johnny W, he doesn't know what he's talking about..You don't use it like a penis on the wall...Yes you turn the water on, and let it run over your clit.
its easy, but what works for others may not work for you. :) let me know if i can help
i dont really no about that make sure you dont actually put it in there... that cud be dangerous..
    me 2 didn't work either
didnt work for me either it just made my legs twitch lol
what may work for others may not turn you on
no you don't turn the water on you just bend over on your hands and knees and backup to the bath facuet and press your vagina against it so it goes into your vagina, it's like a penis on a wall

  • Bath tube faucet not attached to wall?

It comes out through the ';wall'; in the bath room. it used to be flush to it, but now it has come out. I've bended it in but it's still not all the way in. Is this a problem and if so, how do I fix it?Bath tube faucet not attached to wall?
When you say that that you have bent the faucet in, i will assume you put a curve in the metal pipe so it wouldn't stick out as far.

OK the problem with bending the water pipe is that you run the risk of:

    1) putting a kink in the pipe reducing the water flow

    2) cause the pipe to spring a leak behind the wall (BAD)

If you don't care what it looks like and niether 1 or 2 apply then you can leave it. If you would like to do a quick fix you can use a ';mighty puddy'; style epoxy that hardens like concrete or any other bathroom hard setting caulking.

If The whole which the pipe passes through is excessively large you can use some wood shanks to hold the pipe and take up the majority of the room.Bath tube faucet not attached to wall?
You need to secure it. But, you need to open the wall to do that. Access from behind can save you tile work or if it is a fiberglass tub and shower you will have no choice but to access it from behind unless it is on an outside wall. That would suck because removing the enclosure would be your only way to access it. If that is the case, I would let it flop until you can replace the entire enclosure. It is very hard to remove a fiberglass enclosure without damage. Letting it flop is usually just annoying but check often for leaks. Pipes should be secure to prevent leaks caused by vibration but you need to make that call depending on your skills and finances. It could cost several hundred to hire it out. Some outfits charge even more.

If there is no tile or shower enclosure to worry about you can access it from the front but repairing it requires 'greenboard'. make sure you don't use regular drywall or it will disintegrate in a short time from moisture.

If you can access it from behind you will need to cut out a square of drywall (regular is OK here) behind it and repair that after securing the faucet. If it is in a closet, you can leave the hole trimmed with a simple, nice border to leave access for future repairs. If it is in an exposed area like a bedroom wall you will most likely want to fully repair it. Your hardware supplier can show you what you need for securing the faucet and repairing your access hole.

PS: do not use galvanized straps on copper pipe. it will cause electrolysis and damage the pipe. Also, do not use clear silicone. It is a nasty mess. use siliconized latex if it is necessary at all. (probably not) You can use the putty or spray foam for a quick fix but that is a bad idea if you ever have to replace the faucet.
If you have a door that allows you to reach the plumbing, I would suggest to go in and tighten the tube faucet, it's fairly simple. Usually it has become loose on the other side of the wall. You can go to your hardware store and tell them about it. If you have always had this problem, then you may need an extension piece. Before completely repairing silicone the faucet with clear silicone, so that it stays put.
i didnt quite understand the problem..but ill answer according ot what i think the prob is....your gona have to cut a small hole behind the wall behind the faucet...and secure it from inside...i woud suggest not bending it because you could kink or break a pipe and have major probs..after you cut hole and see spout..youll see what im talkin bout.

Why do cats hate to get a bath but at the same time love to play under a funning faucet?

also any advice on how to give my cats a bath. I want to get them cooler when it gets hot, especially my gray cat because she is so fluffy but they fight me when ever I try bathing them so I give up.Why do cats hate to get a bath but at the same time love to play under a funning faucet?
that depends on your cat. just one of my cats liked to play in water... as long as it was the right temperature =P

but i suppose most cats don't like to be given baths since they bathe themselves anyway. i wouldn't worry about your cats overheating though. they know how to cool themselves off. especially if they're indoor pets and the temperature of your house is regulated.

if you have a large cat, my friend suggested cleaining the toilet real good and then dumping your cat in it, closing the lid and flushing it. personally, i wouldn't be that mean to a cat but he said it got them clean. Why do cats hate to get a bath but at the same time love to play under a funning faucet?
They hate it when they're forced. When they see the little trickle coming out of the faucet, its like the world cant stop them.

Its cat nature I think to be so stubburn. I think you terrioze them when you try to bath them and dont worry about fluffly kitty having a stroke, he'll probably stick in a cool area of the house.
They know that a bath is forced and the cat will get soaked. in the faucet they can control how wet they really get
My cats hated being bathed and then I found out if you keep the water shallow so that they are able to stand they stop freaking out. I also have my husband help me bathe them so it is much quicker and they seem to be less annoyed when it doesn't take very long. One of my cats actually comes into the shower with me most mornings....I have never seen anything like it until I got her. As long as your house isn't too hot your cats should be fine because their fur is made to keep them warm and cool. They are also very good about finding cool places in the house so you shouldn't be too worried about that.
good luck with that! Only did a flea dip.....once. I learned my lesson.

    http://terrisfp.com/cats/bathecat2.html
I started giving my cat a bath when he was a kitten. Now that he's older he doesn't like it as much, but he's calm. Have you tryed getting in there with your cat, it may sound weird, but I put on an old bathing suit and get in with him and it keeps him calmer, and it helps me judge the temp of the water better cause it's usually warmer than how it feels on your hand. Having a Gray cat you can probably get away with using bathing wipe, unfortunatly my cat is all white so he trys his best to get clean, but sometimes he needs a little help.
just get a small fan...i have one set up on my bedroom flooor and when my fluffy black cat gets hot he just walks up and sits face to face with it for a few min. its cute.

What are the showers heads called that you hook right onto the faucet when you dont have a shower in your bath

Can anybody tell me what the shower heads are called that hook right onto your bath faucet when you dont have a shower in your bath. It is a regular shower head but with a hose that you attach to the faucet and can take it off and on so you can use the bath and shower? What are the showers heads called that you hook right onto the faucet when you dont have a shower in your bath
A hand held wand. They come it two basic types. The first you slip over faucet spout and it stays in place by preasure. These work so so, depending on how well they will seal.

The other type takes a little work but is usually well worth the effort. You can replace the faucet spout (this is not always an option). They make a bathroom tub spout that has a spot for a hand held sprayer to screw onto the top of the spout. The faucet spout screws on and off. Becareful not to scratch the new spout or the old one when removing and installing. You can put a rag on the spout to protect it and turn it whith a paie of channel locks. What are the showers heads called that you hook right onto the faucet when you dont have a shower in your bath
Hand held wand....But it may not be as easy as you think.

Often the tub spout is not made in a shape that would allow for something flexible to fit over it and get a good seal.

Take a look at buying a new tub spout that has a hand held shower wand as part of the original design.

    Replacing Bath Tub Faucet?

My bath tub recently became harder to use. The handle seems wobbly and when I turn it, no water comes out. I have to push on it while turning it to make the water come. I started trying to fix it, but it seems like the screw that holds the handle to the pipe, is full of mildew. Before I realized this I had already started trying to unscrew the screw. Now the screw is worn out and will not turn anymore. The screw is not a phillips type or flat, but one of the other ones with 6 sides. Will I have to saw off the end in order to fix my bath tub faucet?Replacing Bath Tub Faucet?
Well first off, before you mess with the tub faucet, make sure you have the hot and cold water to the tub turned off at the source. Otherwise you'll drown yourself. Second, if you don't know what you are doing, you'll make a bigger mess and get charged more by a plumber to fix it. It sounds to me like your best bet is to get a plumber in there and have them repair/replace the faucet. It could be soldered in or the main parts could be behind the wall.Replacing Bath Tub Faucet?
Get an allen wrench set, sometimes it helps to have SAE and Metric. More often than not I can ectract a stripped Torx (that is what you have described) by driving an allen wrench, gently into the opening. Also the gentle tapping can help to loosten the screw and ultimately help in the ectraction process. Yours is not a complicated issue but requires a tiny bit if experience tools and maybe knowledge of tool modifications. You should either enlist the help of a mechanical friend or a plumber. The tub faucet can be a very costly item to replace if a fatal error is made.
If you can get the screw out - straight bleach will remove the mold or mildew. Use a spray bottle %26amp; let it sit for about 15 - 30 min.

If you have stripped the handle or the threads in the stem (the pipe that the screw goes in) - click on my picture %26amp; it will take you to my answers - click ';more'; (answers) %26amp; check out what you do to change the stem under the question ';why is my faucet leaking when I have it all the way shut off'; - I'm answer #8.

You can replace the stem %26amp; handle. The escutcheon (the thing that covers the hole in the wall %26amp; part of the stem) unscrews.
You may be able to get the screw out by using an ';easy-out'; - you can get them at most hardware stores. You will have to drill a small hole in the center of the screw with an electric drill and then use the easy out to remove the screw (these have cutting teeth on them and are reverse threaded so that when you turn them into the hole, they tighten and turn the screw out). Alternatively, you can order a ';grabit it'; from 4grabit.com - have never tired one, but their add looks good and the premise is the same as drill and easy out. Once you get the screw out, be sure and purchase a good fixture - most of the cost of this sort of problem is your time and you don't want to have to replace it again in a few years - in less of course you are renting and if that is the case, just let the management know it is screwed (no pun intended).

    Good luck.

What company makes the best (long lasting) bath/tub faucet (Moen, Delta, Kohler, American Std, Price pfister)?

I like moen but I notice after a while of opening and closing them they become harder to close and open becuase the cartridge becomes less lubricated. American Standerd I heard uses ceramic vavles which from what I understand last longer. What company makes the best (long lasting) bath/tub faucet (Moen, Delta, Kohler, American Std, Price pfister)?
American gives you the best bang for your buck. What company makes the best (long lasting) bath/tub faucet (Moen, Delta, Kohler, American Std, Price pfister)?
delta is one of the best engineered faucets on the market - you can't go wrong. Am Std or Kohler are about the same, but do not get their low end products.
from what i know form my dad and bf it would be AMerican since it would last you longer and would not create problems easily plus they have i think a lifetime or not if a lifetime a 15 year warranty or more which is huge compared to the others co out there! plus in the long run it will paly off for itself eventhough it might be more expensive but at least it is better for you : you always get what you pay for!

if all the info is not sufficient ask staff from Lowe's, Home Depot and so forth about the very same question and look at all the brand you listed. good luck. the staff at the stores like Home Depot can solve your question!
American Standard is probably known as the best. That's why you see them in all of your public restrooms. However the rest you named off are all pretty good too although I don't know much about Pfister.

  • Bath tub faucet is stopped working.?

I was outside mowing and bumped the water hose faucet pvc, hence I had a massive water leak. We shut off the main valve in the front yard and repaired the pvc. All faucets work in the house and there is no longer a leak. The bath tub faucet in the master bath no longer works - we only shut off that 1 valve. The shower works and both sinks and toilets in the master work. The pvc that was busted is outside where the main supply feeds into the house. My husband is out of town working and I would like to know if there are any suggestions on the tub faucet. The friends that fixed it suggested it got clogged somehow? any ideas would be great!!!Bath tub faucet is stopped working.?
My best guess (especially if your tub valve has one handle) is that some debris came through your supply and lodged itself inside of the valve. Depending on what manufacturer your valve is would dictate how to disassemble and clean....Hope this helps...Good Luck!Bath tub faucet is stopped working.?
    Try back flushing your system.
If the hot water and the cold won't come on, then it is clogged, not good at all. You need to disconnect the tub faucet spout. It turns to the left, now turn on the water (look out, it comes straight out). If no water, even bigger job is awaiting you.
Call a Professional Plumber, you have done enough damage already!
probably a small piece of rock or something similiar got into the pipe while it was being repaired.. most likely it found its way into the water supply to the tub.. either that or your valve just went bad at the same time as your water leak.. there is a screen just inside the faucet oppening.. it could be clogged.. most likely you have an internal mix faucet.. the clog will have to be in the tee that connects the two lines to the spiggot.. or water outlet.. check the screen first.. then check to see if the valve that seperates the shower from the tub spiggot is working properly.. good luck
either wait until your husband gets home, or call a plumber now and get it fixed before he gets home. I would like to think that there is something that is plugging the faucet. good luck.
I would call in a licensed and bonded plumber to fix this for you and tell your husband to fly back in coach

When i turn on my bath tub faucet it is dripping water instead of running normally who do i call to fix it?

The tub faucet will unscrew from the wall. The valve handles and stems can be removed and the seats and washers replaced. It sounds like you have an obstruction in the pipes. Something got moved and the water pipe is hitting some wood somewhere. They have clamps you can buy to put in that spot at a hardware store. After installing a new faucet in my bath tube I hear a knocking noise whenever I use the hot water in my house?
If sounds like a water hammer. One way to help control the water

hammer condition is to use air chambers, but simply installing a 3/4-in., 12-in.-long chamber will not control the pressure. The capacity of the air chambers needs to be calculated to make sure they will be capable of limiting the amount of water hammer. I had the same thing happen when the automatic sprinkler changed zones, I have the sprinkler connected straight to supply line unregulated which is about 90 PSI - pretty high pressure but I have two zones that need the high pressure. Made a water hammer arrestor and no more banging.

    good luck,

We had that happening for years on all our faucets. During a water heater replacement we mentioned it to the plumber.

He checked our water pressure and it was too high. He installed a pressure regulator on the main valve outside, set it to a reasonable pressure, and that fixed the banging pipes.
its called water hammer, you have air in your System.

How do I remove a delta bath tub faucet?

Turn off water and drain. Pop off cap at control handle and unscrew the screw holding the handle in place. Take a piece of cloth and wrap it around the cover of the Delta ball valve and use a heavy duty channel lock pliers to unscrew the Delta ball valve cover. If you can't get this chrome cover off, you'll need to call a plumber. After getting the cover off you'll see a ball valve with springs and rubber cups to control the water. If this is what your trying to repair. Local hardware store has replacement parts. If the water outlet is what your trying to remove it should unscrew counter clock wise.

We are redoing our kitchen and recently saw a KWC Suprimo faucet in a bath showroom. Is KWC a quality faucet?

In Europe KWC is one of the preeminent kitchen faucet manufacturers. I saw this company at the Kitchen %26amp; Bath Show in Chicago and fell in love with its products. You may want to check out the KWC ONO - I liked the sleek look of the handle. We are redoing our kitchen and recently saw a KWC Suprimo faucet in a bath showroom. Is KWC a quality faucet?

we removed our old bathtub and everything that went along with it. We just installed the new plumbing with the valve for the faucet. We have taken the valve apart and it looks fine.Just bought a new faucet and replaced plumbing in the bath. No water coming out of the valve. Please help.?
!st off make sure you turned water on!

2nd- If you soldered in a new shower body assy, you have to remove the guts to it before you solder the pipes to it. If you did this you might have damaged the guts to the assy! If you removed it then you have crap stuck at it from the soldering and you need to remove it and turn water back on to flush it out. Then reassy it and try again. Leave shower head off until you flush it too!!Just bought a new faucet and replaced plumbing in the bath. No water coming out of the valve. Please help.?
does the new valve have integral stops ? they are little screw driver slots on each side of the valve . one on the hot water side and one on the cold water side . make sure they are all the way open . also make sure you have both hot and cold water on as if it is a pressure balance valve you might not get flow out of the valve without pressure on both sides .Also make sure you have connected the water lines to the proper connections , not mistakenly connected them to the putlet sides of the valve body . what brand is the new valve ?
Turn the water on to the house.
did you remember to turn the water main back on?

  • My bath faucet broke, I need help?

I turned the faucet on in my bath tub and I heard a crack. Now it won't turn off and I can't turn the water up or down, it just keeps dripping. What's the problem? What should I do?My bath faucet broke, I need help?
The plastic parts inside the faucet have broken and will not seal. Either you will have to fix this yourself, or call a plumber. If you want to do it yourself, turn off the master flow to your house and remove the faucet using an adjustable crescent wrench. You may need two in order to detach the knob from the main line coming into your bath. Take the part to your local hardware store and the clerks there can steer you to the right replacement part. Make sure you also purchase some plumber's tape so as to reseal the knob to the line. Best wishes~My bath faucet broke, I need help?
take the handle off. there should be a plastic circle in the middle of the faucet that pops off, might need a knife or flat screwdriver to do this. once you get that off you will need a screw driver to take the screw out that holds it on. once you get that off, take a pliers and turn the water off.
ok yes im a girl but i know alot about this stuff ok im thinking you might have a broken water pipe is it damp around the walls and stuff ?

well depending on where ur faucet is, put ur legs up against the wall on either side of it, and let the warm water gush down onto it... make sure its not too hot or too cold for obvious reasons lolI've heard about the bath faucet for masturbation?
