Bath tub faucet is stopped working.?

I was outside mowing and bumped the water hose faucet pvc, hence I had a massive water leak. We shut off the main valve in the front yard and repaired the pvc. All faucets work in the house and there is no longer a leak. The bath tub faucet in the master bath no longer works - we only shut off that 1 valve. The shower works and both sinks and toilets in the master work. The pvc that was busted is outside where the main supply feeds into the house. My husband is out of town working and I would like to know if there are any suggestions on the tub faucet. The friends that fixed it suggested it got clogged somehow? any ideas would be great!!!Bath tub faucet is stopped working.?
My best guess (especially if your tub valve has one handle) is that some debris came through your supply and lodged itself inside of the valve. Depending on what manufacturer your valve is would dictate how to disassemble and clean....Hope this helps...Good Luck!Bath tub faucet is stopped working.?
Try back flushing your system.
If the hot water and the cold won't come on, then it is clogged, not good at all. You need to disconnect the tub faucet spout. It turns to the left, now turn on the water (look out, it comes straight out). If no water, even bigger job is awaiting you.
Call a Professional Plumber, you have done enough damage already!
probably a small piece of rock or something similiar got into the pipe while it was being repaired.. most likely it found its way into the water supply to the tub.. either that or your valve just went bad at the same time as your water leak.. there is a screen just inside the faucet oppening.. it could be clogged.. most likely you have an internal mix faucet.. the clog will have to be in the tee that connects the two lines to the spiggot.. or water outlet.. check the screen first.. then check to see if the valve that seperates the shower from the tub spiggot is working properly.. good luck
either wait until your husband gets home, or call a plumber now and get it fixed before he gets home. I would like to think that there is something that is plugging the faucet. good luck.
I would call in a licensed and bonded plumber to fix this for you and tell your husband to fly back in coach
