How do you stop a drippy bath tub faucet?

You must change the stem washer located at the end of the control valve. How do you stop a drippy bath tub faucet?
You probably have a washer that needs replacing in the faucet itself. If the water that is dripping out feels warm then it's the hot side that needs attention. If it's cold then it's probably the cold tap. If the water is comming out of the spigot, then it's the seat washer. If the water is comming out from around the tap handle then it's the ';O'; ring that needs replacing.

You have to shut off the main, remove the handle, unscrew the cartridge from the faucet, %26amp; replace the washer, or ';O'; ring with the EXACT same size, %26amp; type. If you aren't sure what washer you need after you get the cartridge out of the faucet then take it to your nearest hardware store, %26amp; show it to the people at the store. How do you stop a drippy bath tub faucet?
take off the sink head and make sure all of the pipes are lined up or u might need to use some rubber cement to patch up a hole in a pipe
